I am a transplanted New Yorker. I also spent several years living in New England and know most New England towns well. The last Christmas that my husband and I spent on Long Island, New York, before moving to Florida, we went for a ride one night to see the houses lit up for the holidays. One street had a triangle divide, covered with snow. On the far side the houses were lit from roof to lawn with all the bright lights of Christmas. On the triangle stood a huge buck with full antlers. It was as though he had been sent there to complete the Christmas seen, just for us. So with more than a little nostalgia, I bring you some Northern Christmas scenes.
